I once bought the logitech driving force gt. However I returned it because I could not find a place to put it that makes sense. Now with GT6 coming out, I think I want to get a g27.
Does anybody know a way to make your own "playseat" on the cheap?

I have mine set to a heavy desk. The force feedback motors move lighter tables

unfortunately my tv "stand" is only a couple of feet off the ground, so i can't mount to that.

Go to a salvage yard and buy a car seat. Get some 2x4s and make a saw horse to your desired height.

I like the layout and price of the WRC version better.
$539 vs. $1499? Besides, I'm a broken old man, getting into the F1 driving position would result in a lot of discomfort for me.

Right. the F1 seat i would really like it for F1 2012 and 2013, but thats it. for GT6 and GT5 it would be better to have the WRC. Plus it is cheaper and as you say easier to seat in.

There's a bunch of solutions. I built mine out of PVC tubes and wood and took a used seat from an Integra. I got a plan that I can post later on if you desire. Even Need For speed gave a plan to create your own arcade gaming cabinet and it was awesome. I'll send you links once I find them. In the meanwhile you can search on google DIY racing rigs to get the ideas flowing.

If you could send it, that would be awesome

The g27 is worth it. My g25 is 6 years old + going strong.

Helped someone set up one in pretty much this fashion. Rewired an old computer power-supply to provide the 12v line so the seat motors could operate, pretty simple if you're ok with soldering and know the basics of electronics.
